Project Details
Overview
An 8,000 SF cooling tower upgrade for a confidential data center in Santa Clara, replacing the side stream filters on six cooling towers to improve filtration capacity and overall system efficiency.
Scope
COBE replaced the side stream filters across six cooling towers, carefully phasing the work to keep the cooling system operational throughout demolition, new piping installation, and integration of new filter control panels with the building management system (BMS). All new equipment was securely anchored and supported for reliability and long-term stability.
Outcome
Improved filtration capacity, system efficiency, and long-term reliability across six cooling towers, delivered without taking the cooling system offline. The phased approach kept the facility running throughout, and the BMS integration gives the client seamless control over the upgraded system.
